Somers Equestrian Center is affiliated with both the Silver Spurs Riders Club and the Calcasieu Horsemans Club .  In 2006, Lou Somers, on DS Prodigy, was All Around High Point Champion at both Clubs.  Classes included:  Hunter, Halter, Showmanship, Jumping, Western Disciplined Rail, Reining, Trail, Barrels, Poles and Stakes. Somers Equestrian Center also has an affiliation with Bergeron Brothers Rodeo Company.  Look for upcoming Rodeo events published on this site.
